Costa Rica (July-August 2019) Biological and Cultural Studies Two dozen students explored the rich culture and biological diversity of Costa Rica during this academic trip led by DeLaSalle teachers. Students experienced overnight stays in San Jose, the Osa Peninsula, Dominical, and the Manuel Antonio National Park.
Italy (June-July 2018): Art and Lasallian Leadership Two dozen students earned DeLaSalle and St.Marys University credit through this course. Islanders explored some of Italy’s most significant art and architecture, visited and completed a service project with the De La Salle Christian Brothers, and attended a general audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Bolivia (July-August 2017): Social Determinants of Health in Bolivia DeLaSalle partnered with St. Catherine’s University to offer students college credit for a 15-day international academic trip in the Andes Mountains, Madidi National Park, Lake Titicaca, and LaPaz. St. Catherine Professor joined DeLaSalle faculty in co-teaching this unique topic and guiding students to some of the most geographically interesting places on earth.
Ecuador (June 2016) Art, Altitude and Raptors DeLaSalle students earned four semester hours of Hamline University credit through this program, an interdisciplinary study of art and biology. During the trip, DeLaSalle students visited and spent time with students from Colegio Hermano Miguel, a Lasallian school in Cuenca.
